Eyes and Lips Tea Cups

This piece was made to be my final based on Picasso and his use of various features found in human faces. I think that the symmetry was something that went really well. On the other hand, I do wish that I took more time glazing each of them so that the black would be a bit deeper. If I were to do it again I would change the amount of glaze on each while also perfecting the bottom of them to eliminate any wobbling.

L and M Tea Cups

This was a piece that I made for my girlfriend and I for our anniversary with our initials. I am really happy with how these came out as the lettering on both isn't over lined at all which compliments the symmetry is size very nicely. I personally think there wasn't anything I would've done differently if I were to do it again.

Checkared Lidded Box

For my lidded sculpture I chose to do a box as  I thought it would be challenging to make flat walls with sharp corners while keeping it all even, and it was. I liked how the checkers came out all over despite the amount of time that took me but as for the fitting of the lid I wish I made the box and lid at the same time so that they would shrink accordingly which wasn't the case. If I were to do it again I would simply make the two pieces at the same time so that the lid would fit tightly and align better with the checkered pattern on the box itself.

Ice Cream

This sculpture was made for my poem project. My poem included a lot of nostalgic visualizations, one of which being the memory of dropping your ice cream as a child. Because of the moments in this writing, I made my piece a dropped ice cream that is melting. I am very happy with how the ice cream came out but I can't say the same for the cone. If I were to do anything different I would take more time while making the texture on the cone so that it would appear more realistic.

Clown Tea Cup

I made this tea cup at the same time as the ones for my girlfriend and I. While only having a few colors out, I decided to do what I could with these and make the face of a clown with the words "Clown Around" on the bottom. I am very happy with this piece as well and I personally wouldn't add anything to this piece other than MAYBE see how teeth with a smile would look.

Ears Tea Cups

In addition to the eyes and lips, I created a set of ears to finalize the face. With the help of every student walking by, I was able to copy the shape of a left and right ear so that they would be as symmetrical as possible. I am really happy with how the color came out on both as it was the goal for the eyes and mouth but I was too impatient. If I were to change anything about these two cups I would add some depth to the ears in the middle so that it would show the amount of height I added everywhere else.
